2020-21 MAPS Legislative Platform
Background:
The MAPS Legislative Committee has met several times in preparation for the 2021 legislative session that has begun in Saint Paul. The school district’s committee is comprised of School Board members, district leaders, students and parents.
At tonight’s meeting, an overview of the themes and components of the MAPS 2021 Legislative Platform will be shared, along with an update from the meeting held with area legislators on January 14. Historically, the MAPS School Board has participated in MSBA ‘Day at the Capitol’ and other public education advocacy events. Due to the pandemic, the school district will use alternative methods to share information and encourage continued school support at the state level.
