APPOINTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Karen Barnett - Long-term Substitute Interventions Teacher for Joyce Petersen at Rosa Parks Elementary School beginning April 22 and ending May 20, 2021. She will be placed at step 10 of the M lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule. 

Cynthia Cerda-Lopez - Long-term Substitute Teacher for Lexy Braun at Franklin Elementary School beginning March 29 and ending June 7, 2021. She will be placed at step 1 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.

Alexis Thompson - Long-term Substitute Teacher for Sarah Peterson at Monroe Elementary School beginning April 9 and ending June 7, 2021. She will be placed at step 1 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.

APPOINTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Helen Adetunji - Non-Classroom (Playground/Lunchroom) Paraprofessional at Washington Elementary School for 2.25 hours per day/2 days per week (M, F)
beginning March 8, 2021. She will be placed at classification B21, step 1 in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association with an hourly rate of $13.49.

Mohamed Ibrahim - Interpreter for the District on an on-call basis beginning March 15, 2021. He will be compensated at the rate of $20.40 per hour. This is in addition to his Family Ambassador assignment. 

Ahmed Mohamud - Interpreter for the District on an on-call basis beginning March 15, 2021. He will be compensated at the rate of $20.40 per hour. This is in addition to his Family Ambassador assignment.

Deborah Soria - Instructional Support Secretary beginning March 15, 2021. This assignment is for 8 hours per day/5 days per week with a work-year of 250 days and 10 paid holidays.  She will be placed at classification B22, step 1 of the Educational Secretaries Association salary schedule with an hourly rate of $16.90. This is in addition to her on-call Interpreter assignment.

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Sharon Dinsmore - Increase in assignment as Special Education Student Success Coach at Futures SUN from 6.25 hours per day 5/days per week to 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week beginning September 1, 2020.

Kendra Euler - Decrease in assignments as Part-time Early Learning Special Education Paraprofessional from 3.5 hours per day/4 days a week in the morning, and Part-time Early Learning Regular Education Paraprofessionals 3.5 hours per week/4 days a week in the afternoon to Part-time Early Learning Special Education Paraprofessional for 3.5 hours per day/4 days a week in the morning only beginning February 22, 2021.

Gavin Lyons - Decrease in assignment as Non-Classroom (Playground/Lunchroom) Paraprofessional at Washington Elementary School from 2.25 hours per day/5 days per week to 2.25 hours per day/3 days per week (M, T, W) beginning March 3, 2021.

Darian Thompson - Rescind appointment as Early Learning Special Education Paraprofessional at the Early Childhood Center for 3.5 hours a day/2 days a week (T, W) and 1.75 hours per day/1 day per week (TH) to begin February 9, 2021.

Wendy Zehm - Temporary decrease in assignment as Special Education Paraprofessional at Rosa Parks Elementary School from 6.25 hours per day/5 days per week to 6.25 hours per day/3 days per week (M, W, F) and 3 hours per day/2 days per week (T, TH) beginning March 8 and ending March 31, 2021. 

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Mikala Simon - 1st Grade Teacher at Washington Elementary School has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning August 30 and returning to work November 22, 2021.

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Jolene Beckel - Extend Board-approved leave. Returning to work April 5, 2021.

David Boomgarden - District Delivery has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning March 1 and returning to work on April 1, 2021. 

RESIGNATIONS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Amy Claussen - EL Teacher at East High School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment June 7, 2021.

Robin Courrier - 3rd Grade Teacher at Eagle Lake Elementary School has submitted her resignation for the purpose of retirement. Her last date of employment will be June 8, 2021. 

Melanie Pederson - Special Education Teacher at Prairie Winds Middle School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment will be June 7, 2021. 

Diane Substad - Kindergarten Teacher at Monroe Elementary School has submitted her resignation for the purpose of retirement. Her last date of employment will be June 8, 2021. 

RESIGNATIONS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Julia Domas - ACES Child Care Assistant at Kennedy Elementary School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment March 17, 2021.

Cassandra Hanson - ACES Site Supervisor at Bridges Community School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment March 23, 2021. 

Abby McCormack- ACES Child Care Assistant at Rosa Parks Elementary School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment March 19, 2021. She will continue with her Health and Wellness Special Education Paraprofessional assignment at West High School.

Deborah Soria - Non-Classroom (Playground/Lunchroom) Paraprofessional at Eagle Lake Elementary School has submitted her resignation for the purpose of accepting the Instructional Support Supervisor position. Her last date in this assignment March 12, 2021. She will continue in her on-call Interpreter position for the District. 

Brianna Soutthivong - Early Learning Special Education Paraprofessional at Head Start has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment March 31, 2021. 

Rylee Wendinger - ACES Child Care Assistant at Hoover Elementary School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment March 16, 2021. 

TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Saisha Dau - ACES Child Care Assistant. Last date of employment February 24, 2021.

Sydney Lebens - ACES Child Care Assistant. Last date of employment February 24, 2021.

Ashley Rolland - ACES Child Care Assistant. Last date of employment February 24, 2021.

Brooklyn Sukaiski - ACES Child Care Assistant. Last date of employment February 24, 2021.
 

Recommended Action:

The Administration recommends the approval of the personnel items.
