Approval of Review and Comment Report for MRCI Purchase and Renovation
Background:
In a previous Action Item, the school board approved the authorization for the Superintendent/Director of Business Services and a Board Officer to execute a Purchase Agreement for Real Estate Acquisition, contingent upon defined parameters.
In addition to this authorization, the District is also required to submit a Review and Comment Report for approval to the Minnesota Department of Education. The proposal will contain the project’s purpose and rationale, along with benefits, budgets and the plan for financing the project.
Furthermore, MDE requires Board action to “Authorize district administrative leadership to work with project consultants (In thai case, Krsaus Anderson) to develop an appropriate proposal and submit to MDE for its review and comment.”
