Background:

APPOINTMENTS (ADMINISTRATIVE)
Melissa Brueske - Principal at Jefferson Elementary School beginning July 1, 2022. She will be placed at Elementary Principal classification, step 2 on the Principals Association salary schedule. 

APPOINTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Alec Otto - Long-term Substitute Music Teacher for Jonathan Shevy at Franklin Elementary and Washington Elementary Schools beginning March 16 and ending April 22, 2022. He will be placed at step 1 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule. 

Tara Rustad - Long-term Substitute Teacher for Jade Achman at Prairie Winds Middle School beginning May 2 and ending May 31, 2022. She will be placed at step 10 of the M lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.

Colin Varley - Long-term Substitute Teacher for Katie Netland at Prairie Winds Middle School beginning April 27 and ending June 6, 2022. He will be placed at step 1 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.

APPOINTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Joseph Braun - Health & Wellness Paraprofessional at Futures for 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week beginning March 14, 2022. He will be placed at classification B22.5, step 1, in accordance with the agreement between the District and Minnesota School Employee Association, with an hourly rate of $16.95.

Allisha Myking - Temporary assignment as Student Success Coach at Monroe Elementary School for 4.25 hours per day/5 days per week beginning January 10 and ending April 4, 2022. She will be placed at classification B22, step 1, in accordance with the agreement between the District and Minnesota School Employee Association, with an hourly rate of $16.44. This is in addition to her Non-Classroom (Playground) Paraprofessional assignment at Monroe Elementary School. 

Ashley Nelson - ACES Child Care Assistant at Bridges Community School for 4 hours per day/2 days per week beginning March 14 and ending June 3, 2022. She will be compensated at the rate of $12.50 per hour.

Raychelle Pedersen - Media Assistant at Dakota Meadows Middle School for 7 hours per day/5 days per week with a work year of 180 days beginning April 4, 2022. She will be placed at step 5 of the A13 classification on the Educational Secretaries Association salary schedule with an hourly rate of $16.15.

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Gabrielle Essay - Adjust start date to March 25, 2022, for her Long-term Substitute Teacher assignment at Dakota Meadows Middle School.

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Alicia Thovson - Decrease in assignment as Health & Wellness Paraprofessional at Futures from 6.25 hours per day/5 days per week to 4.25 hours per day/5 days per week beginning April 4, 2022. 

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Julie Risto - Extend Board approved leave through the end of the 2021-22 school year.

Erica Hengel - Special Education Teacher at Washington Elementary School has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning August 29 and returning to work on October 3, 2022.

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Alan Benzkofer - Extend Board-approved leave, returning to work on March 14, 2022.

Candice Peters - Early Learning Special Education Paraprofessional at Franklin Elementary School has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning March 14 and continuing through the 2021-22 school year.

RESIGNATIONS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Pamela Feenstra - Part-time Art Teacher at East High School, has submitted her resignation for the purpose of retirement. Her last date of employment will be June 7, 2022.

RESIGNATIONS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Carley Burns - ACES Child Care Assistant at Monroe Elementary School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment will be March 24, 2022. 

Alexandra Eidem - Health & Wellness Paraprofessional at Futures has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment will be March 18, 2022.

Julia Guzulaitis - ACES Child Care Assistant at Eagle Lake Elementary School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment will be March 30, 2022.

Sadie Kelly - Special Education Level 3 Paraprofessional at Roosevelt Elementary School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment will be March 11, 2022. 

Douglas Pearson -8-Hour Evening Custodian at Roosevelt Elementary School has submitted his resignation. His last date of employment will be March 7, 2022. 

Karen Sparks - 8-Hour Evening Custodian at Rosa Parks Elementary School has submitted her resignation for the purpose of retirement. Her last date of employment will be June 3, 2022.

Rex Sparks - 8-Hour Evening Custodian at Rosa Parks Elementary School has submitted his resignation for the purpose of retirement. His last date of employment will be June 3, 2022.

Breanna Tester - Second Cook at Bridges Community School has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment will be March 17, 2022.

The Administration recommends the approval of the personnel items.
