Background:

APPOINTMENTS (NON-AFFILIATED)
Emma Langemo - Central Registration Specialist for the District beginning May 18, 2022. This is a Full-time, Non-Affiliated position with an annual salary of $42,198.48 prorated to $5,173.76 for 32 days. She will be eligible for Category II benefits.

APPOINTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Jessica Buttell - Change in assignment from Lead Teacher at PEEK to Dean of Students (TOSA) at Dakota Meadows Middle School beginning July 1, 2022.  She will be compensated according to her placement on the Teachers Association salary schedule with a work year of 10 additional contract days per year.

Alyssa Job - Full-time (1.00 FTEs) 1st Grade Teacher at Rosa Parks Elementary School beginning August 22, 2022, for the 2022-23 school year. She will be placed at step 4 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.

Callie Looft - MAPS Preschool teacher for Camp Ready Set Go at the Family Learning Center for 132 hours beginning July 1 and ending August 10, 2022. She will be compensated according to her placement on the ECFE Teachers' salary schedule. 

Natalie Ryan - Full-time (1.00 FTEs) Health/Physical Education Teacher at Dakota Meadows Middle School beginning August 22, 2022, for the 2022-23 school year. She will be placed at step 1 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule. 

Katelyn Smith - Full-time (1.00 FTEs) 5th Grade Teacher at Rosa Parks Elementary School beginning August 22, 2022, for the 2022-23 school year. She will be placed at step 1 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.

APPOINTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Alexis Brooks - ACES Child Care Assistant Substitute at Eagle Lake Elementary School on an on-call basis beginning May 2 and ending June 3, 2022. She will be compensated at the rate of $12.50 per hour.

Grant Hanson - ACES Child Care Assistant at Rosa Parks Elementary School for 4 hours per day/5 days per week beginning May 18 and ending June 3, 2022. He will be compensated at the rate of $12.50 per hour.

Elizabeth Putnam - Special Education Intervention Paraprofessional at Roosevelt Elementary School for 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week beginning May 19, 2022. She will be placed at classification B21.5, step 1, in accordance with the agreement between the District and Minnesota School Employee Association, with an hourly rate of $14.14. 

Jordan Slama - 8-Hour Evening Custodian at West High School for 8 hours per day/5 days per week beginning May 4, 2022. He will be placed at classification A13, step 3 of the Maintenance and Custodial Workers Association salary schedule with an hourly rate of $16.90. 

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Julie Larkin-Spies - Adjust start date to July 1, 2022, for the change in assignment from Dean of Students (TOSA) to English Language Arts Teacher at Dakota Meadows Middle School.

Alec Otto - Adjust end date to June 3, 2022, for his Long-term Substitute Teacher assignment for Jonathan Shevy at Franklin Elementary and Washington Elementary Schools

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Sandra Hoffmann - Change in Assignment from ACES Child Care Assistant to ACES Student Support Assistant at Eagle Lake Elementary School for 1.5 hours per day/4 days per week beginning May 2, 2022. She will be compensated at the rate of $15.00 per hour.  This is in addition to her Special Education Paraprofessional assignment at Eagle Lake Elementary School.

Jamie Schloemer - Increase in assignment as Special Education Paraprofessional at Rosa Parks Elementary School from 6.25 hours per day/5 days per week to 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week beginning May 2, 2022. 

LuAnn Shoop - Correction, increase in assignment as Reading Intervention Paraprofessional at Washington Elementary School from 5.5 hours per day/2 days per week to 6 hours per day/3 days per week beginning March 29 and ending June 3, 2022.

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (ADMINISTRATIVE)
Mollie Meyer - Principal at Hoover Elementary School, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning May 2 and returning to work on May 23, 2022.

Monde Schwartz - Principal at Prairie Winds Middle School, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning April 11 and returning to work on June 6, 2022, then continuing as intermittent leave through June 30, 2022. 

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (NON-AFFILIATED)
Samantha Schirmers - ACES Program Coordinator, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning on July 25 and returning to work on October 3, 2022.

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Ashley Larson - 1st Grade Teacher at Bridges Community School, has requested unpaid leave for the 2022-23 school year. 

Katie Wheelock - Special Education Teacher at Franklin Elementary School has requested intermittent leave beginning April 28, 2022, and continuing through the 2021-22 school year.

RESIGNATIONS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Sabrina Hanson - ACES Child Care Assistant at Hoover Elementary School, has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment will be May 3, 2022.

Natalie Ryan - Student Success Coach at Kennedy Elementary School, has submitted her resignation so that she can accept the Health/Physical Education Teaching position. Her last day for this assignment will be June 3, 2022. 

Jean Teeslink - Special Education Paraprofessional at Roosevelt Elementary School, has submitted her resignation for the purpose of retirement. Her last date of employment will be June 3, 2022.

Megan Trnovac - ACES Child Care Assistant at Roosevelt Elementary School, has submitted her resignation. Her last date of employment will be May 2, 2022. 

Luke Williams - ACES Child Care Assistant Substitute, has submitted his resignation. His last date of employment will be May 10, 2022. 

TERMINATION (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Alan Benzkofer - Special Education Level 3, Intervention Paraprofessional at INSITE, effective March 15, 2022.

Joseph Braun - Health and Wellness Paraprofessional at Futures effective March 29, 2022. 
 

Recommended Action:

The administration recommends approval of the personnel items.
