Upon receipt of the resignation letter from Kenneth Reid, the Mankato Area School Board began to select his replacement.  Because Mr. Reid’s term was set to expire at the end of 2024, the individual appointed will serve until the end of December.  This summer, filing will open for candidates interested in running to complete the final two years of his term.

Eight individuals submitted applications for the open seat, and MAPS School Board members received the applications for their review at the May 18 work session.

At tonight’s meeting, the School Board will nominate from the candidate list and vote.
