Public Hearing – Calendar Options for 2016-17, 2017-18

At the October 19, 2015, Board meeting, action was taken to approve the attached 2016-17 and 2017-18 School Year Calendars Development Process and Timeline.  Action was also taken to secure input on calendars for each of the school years.  As part of this input process, a public hearing has been scheduled for this Board meeting.  Before the public hearing Heather Mueller, Director of Teaching and Learning, will review the parameters that must be considered in developing a school year calendar as well as providing an overview of the options being considered.
 
Final action to adopt the calendars for 2016-17 and 2017-18 has been scheduled for the December 21, 2015 School Board meeting.
