Background:

APPOINTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Oscar Andrade Lara - Summer School Administrative Intern beginning March 22 and ending July 27, 2023.  This is an unpaid assignment.

Jacquelyn Frayne - Full-time (1.00 FTEs) Speech Language Pathologist for the District beginning August 21, 2023, for the 2023-24 school year. She will be placed at step 6 of the M+30 lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule contingent upon obtaining licensure.

Collin Seifert - Full-time (1.00 FTEs) School Psychologist for the District beginning August 21, 2023, for the 2023-24 school year. He will be placed at step 2 of the M+30 lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule with an additional 10 contract days per year, contingent upon obtaining licensure.

Deanna Sforza - Full-time (1.00 FTEs) School Psychologist for the District beginning August 21, 2023, for the 2023-24 school year. She will be placed at step 1 of the M lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule with an additional 10 contract days per year, contingent upon obtaining licensure.

Peter Wittmer - Summer School Administrative Intern beginning March 22 and ending July 27, 2023.  This is an unpaid assignment.

APPOINTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Alissa Lien - Special Education Paraeducator at Prairie Winds Middle School for 6.75 hours per day/3 days per week (T/TH/F) beginning March 14, 2023. She will be placed at classification B21.5, step 1, in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association. 

Margaret Wood - ACES Child Care Assistant at Franklin Elementary School for 4 hours per day/5 days per week beginning February 28 and ending June 7, 2023. She will be compensated at the rate of $12.50 per hour. This is in addition to her Non-classroom (Playground) Paraeducator assignment at Rosa Parks Elementary School.

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Sowsan Hassan - Adjust start date to March 15, 2023, as Special Education Paraeducator at Monroe Elementary School.

Avery Mersch - Increase in assignment as Early Learning Special Education Paraeducator at Franklin Elementary School and MAPS Center for Learning from 7 hours per day/2 days per week (M/W) and 3.5 hours per day/1 day per week (W) to 7 hours per day/3 days per week  (M/W/TH) and 3.5 hours per day/1 day per week (T) beginning March 9, 2023. 

Michael Stoeckel - Change in assignment from 8-Hour Evening Custodian at Dakota Meadows Middle School to Custodian Engineer at Bridges Community School beginning March 6, 2023. He will be placed at classification B22, step 1, in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association.

Serenity Zwaschka - Adjust start date to March 6, 2023, as Youth Programs Assistant Specialist Substitute with Community Education at Lincoln Community Center.

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Wendy Weber - Teacher currently on Board-approved leave has requested unpaid leave for the 2023-24 school year.

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Kendrick Bates - Student Success Coach at Franklin Elementary School has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning February 9 and returning to work on March 13, 2023. 

Patricia Cluka - Extend Board-approved intermittent leave with a reduced schedule of 3.5 hours per day/4 days per week, return to full schedule on March 20, 2023.

Jose Gomez - Special Education Paraeducator at Central High School, has requested leave beginning February 13 and returning to work on February 27, 2023, and continuing leave with a reduced work schedule of 4 hours per day/5 days per week until returning to full schedule on April 28, 2023.

Samantha Guinn - Health & Wellness Paraeducator at SUN has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning February 9 and returning to work on March 13, 2023. 

Mary Nichols - EL Paraeducator at Hoover Elementary School, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning February 15 and returning to work on March 27, 2023, and continuing leave with a reduced work schedule of 3 days per week through the end of the 2022-23 school year.

Jennifer Schmitt - Special Education Paraeducator at Kennedy Elementary School, has requested medical leave beginning February 7 and returning to work on February 21, 2023. 

Kelli Woelfel - Program Secretary with the Adult Education Program, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning April 19 and returning to work on July 17, 2023. 

RESIGNATIONS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Jean Biesterveld - Special Education Paraeducator at Eagle Lake Elementary School, has submitted a resignation for the purpose of retirement. The last day of employment will be June 7, 2023. 

Taylor Exline - Counseling Secretary at East High School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be March 17, 2023. 

TERMINATION (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Wallace Michels - 4-Hour Evening Custodian at Bridges Community School, effective February 1, 2023. 

Recommended Action:

The Administration recommends the approval of the personnel items.
