Approval of 2023-2024 Employee Health Insurance Renewal Rates
Background:
Mankato Area Public Schools recently received notice from the South Central Service Cooperative that there will be a rate increase of 7.5% to the District’s employee health insurance plans for the 2023-2024 school year. In addition, the Double Gold plan will be removed from the available plans for employees to elect during the open enrollment period. This plan currently has 8 participants enrolled that will need to change their election during open enrollment. The monthly rates will be as follows:

Recommended Action:
The administration and the employee insurance committee consisting of representatives from all employee groups recommend acceptance of the overall 7.5% rate increase for the 2023-2024 health insurance plans.
