Background:

APPOINTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Renea Ratzloff - Long-term Substitute Teacher for Jeffrey Soma at Hoover Elementary School beginning November 28, 2023, and ending January 5, 2024. She will be placed at step 8 of the M lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.

APPOINTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Amel Abdullahi - 6-hour, 9-month, Evening Custodian at Jefferson Elementary School beginning December 22, 2023. She will be placed at classification A13, step 2, in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association.

Nowrin Koly - Multilingual Learner (MLL) Paraeducator at Washington Elementary School for 6.5 hours per day/3 days per week (M/W/F) and 2 hours per day/2 days per week (T/TH) for a total of 102 days beginning January 3, 2024. She will be placed at classification B21, step 1, in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association.

Nicholas Weierke - Health & Wellness Paraeducator at Futures for 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week beginning December 18, 2023. He will be placed at classification B22.5, step 1, in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association.

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Mary McCuskey Simpson - Decrease in assignment as Parent Educator at MAPS Center for Learning from 764.5 annual hours (0.53 FTEs) to 754.4 annual hours (0.52 FTEs) beginning December 8, 2023. 

Polly Olthoff - Correction - Adjust end date to June 6, 2024, as Contract Substitute Teacher for Jessica Kingston at Rosa Parks Elementary School. 

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Cassandra De La Cruz - Correction - Increase in assignment as Early Learning Paraeducator at MAPS Center for Learning from 3 hours per day/1 day per week to 3.5 hours per day/1 day per week beginning December 4, 2023. This is in addition to her Lead Teacher assignment at Lincoln Logs Learning Center.

Hailey Fjoser - Temporary change in assignment from Second Cook for 7 hours per day/5 days per week to Cook Manager at Eagle Lake Elementary School for 8 hours per day/5 days per week beginning August 14 and ending December 22, 2023. She will be placed at classification B22, step 3, in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association.

Rita Jones - Decrease in assignment as Early Learning Paraeducator at MAPS Center for Learning from 2 hours per day/2 days per week (M/F), 3 hours per day/2 days per week (W/TH) and 1.5 hours per day/1 day per week (T) to 2 hours per day/1 day per week, (M) 1.5 hours per day/1 day per week (T) and 3 hours per day/2 days per week (W/TH) beginning December 8, 2023.

Samantha Koenigs - Change in assignment from ACES Student Support Assistant at Roosevelt Elementary School to ACES Student Support Assistant Substitute on an on-call basis beginning December 29, 2023. 

Jenna Spencer - Change in assignment from ACES Child Care Assistant at Franklin Elementary School to ACES Child Care Assistant Substitute on an on-call basis beginning December 13, 2023. 

Chelcy Wangen - Increase in assignment as Health & Wellness Paraeducator from 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week at East High School to 7 hours per day/5 days per week at SUN beginning December 7, 2023. 

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Jennifer Grosland - Special Education Teacher at Futures, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning April 11 and returning to work on May 28, 2024. 

Kelley Hokeness - Speech Clinician at Eagle Lake Elementary School, has requested leave beginning December 4, 2023, and returning to work on January 3, 2024. 

Megan Kahle - Art Teacher at Dakota Meadows Middle School, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning December 7, and returning to work on January 3, 2024, and then continuing intermittent leave through the 2023-24 school year.

Rebecca Sharpsteen - School Social Worker at East High School, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning April 1 and returning to work on June 4, 2024. 

Parker Winning - 4th Grade Teacher at Kennedy Elementary School, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning January 3 and returning to work on January 22, 2024. 

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Hailey Fjoser - Adjust start date to December 8, 2023, for Board-approved leave.

Darcele Kies - Special Education Paraeducator at Dakota Meadows Middle School has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning November 27 and returning to work on December 11, 2023. 

Tammy Ochs - Special Education Paraeducator at Monroe Elementary School, has requested unpaid leave beginning November 16, 2023, and returning to work on May 16, 2024. She is eligible to use any applicable fringe benefits.

Charles Risser - Evening Custodian at Monroe Elementary School has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning January 3 and continuing through his last day of employment, January 31, 2024.  

Karen Severns - Special Education Paraeducator at Roosevelt Elementary School, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning December 1 and returning on December 18, 2023, and continuing leave with a reduced work schedule of 4 hours per day/5 days per week until returning to full schedule on January 8, 2024. 

RESIGNATIONS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Adalis Arias - Building Technology Assistant at Dakota Meadows Middle School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be December 22, 2023. 

Alyssa Sorenson - Media Assistant at Franklin Elementary School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be January 5, 2024.

Isaac Wadd - ACES Site Lead and ACES Student Support Assistant Substitute at Eagle Lake Elementary School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be December 1, 2023. 
 

Recommended Action:

The Administration recommends the approval of the personnel items.
