APPOINTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Kate Martig - Long-term Substitute Social Emotional Learning Interventionist at MAPS Center for Learning beginning February 19 and ending June 8, 2024. She will be placed at step 1 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule, contingent upon obtaining licensure. 

Piper Otto - Long-term Substitute Teacher for Summer Gerber at Bridges Community School beginning February 12 and ending June 7, 2024. She will be placed at step 1 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule. 

APPOINTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Natalie Berg - ACES Child Care Assistant at Bridges Community School for 3-4 hours per day/4 days per week beginning February 16, 2024. She will be compensated at the rate of $13.75 per hour.

Raeven Black Bull - Student Kitchen Helper at East High School for 2.5 hours per day/5 days per week beginning February 12, 2024. She will be compensated at the rate of $10.85 per hour.

Mia Hitchen - Special Education Paraeducator at Rosa Parks Elementary School for 6.25 hours per day/5 days per week beginning February 13, 2024. She will be placed at classification B21.5, step 1, in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association.

Kaleb Kirsch - ACES Site Lead Substitute at Washington Elementary School on an on-call basis beginning February 16, 2024. He will be compensated at the rate of $16.75 for this assignment. This is in addition to his ACES Early Learning Assistant Teacher assignment at MAPS Center for Learning and ACES Child Care Assistant assignment at Washington Elementary School.

Allison Lashinski - ACES Child Care Assistant at Washington Elementary School for 3-4 hours per day/4 days per week beginning February 16, 2024. She will be compensated at the rate of $13.50 per hour.

Adam Rousseau - ACES Child Care Assistant at Eagle Lake Elementary School for 3-4 hours per day/2 days per week beginning February 8, 2024. He will be compensated at the rate of $13.25 per hour.

Tina Sorenson - Media Assistant at Franklin Elementary School for 5.25 hours per day/5 days per week with a work year of 180 days beginning February 21, 2024. She will be placed at step 1 of the A13 classification on the Educational Secretaries Association salary schedule. 

Starlyn Spoden - Early Learning Special Education Paraeducator at MAPS Center for Learning for 7 hours per day/2 days per week (M/W) beginning February 14, 2024. Training date February 13, 2024. She will be placed at classification B21.5, step 1, in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association.

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NON-AFFILIATED)
Eric Schwamberger - Change in assignment from Building Technology Assistant at East High School to Level 1 Technician with the District beginning February 12, 2024. This is a full-time, 12-month, Non-affiliated position with an annual salary of $40,850.45, prorated to $15,711.72 for 100 days for 2023-24. He will be eligible for Category II Benefits.

Lindsey Schull - Adjust start date to February 14, 2024, as Long-term Substitute Teacher for Kayla Lewis at Roosevelt Elementary and Jefferson Elementary Schools. 

Megan Schultz - Change in assignment from School Social Worker at Kennedy Elementary and Hoover Elementary Schools to Youth Mental Health Navigator for the District beginning February 19, 2024. 

Kayla Steinberg - Increase in assignment as Special Education Teacher at Franklin Elementary School from 1.00 FTEs to 1.16 FTEs beginning February 2 and ending June 7, 2024. 

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Amber Adams - Change in assignment from ACES Student Support Assistant at Washington Elementary School to ACES Student Support Assistant Substitute on an on-call basis beginning February 1, 2024. 

Sharon Dinsmore - Adjust start date to February 7, 2024, for increase in assignment as Health & Wellness Paraprofessional at East High School from 6 hours per day/5 days per week to 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week.

Dakota Kamm - Increase in assignments as Special Education Paraeducator at Rosa Parks Elementary School from 5 hours per day/2 days per week (M/W) and 4.5 hours per day/2 days per week (T/TH) to 5.75 hours per day/2 days per week (M/W) and 4.5 hours per day/2 days per week (T/TH) beginning February 12, 2024. This is in addition to her ACES Early Learning Aide Substitute, ACES Child Care Assistant, and ACES Site Lead Substitute assignments at Rosa Parks Elementary School.

Taryn Orser - Voluntary decrease in assignment as Special Education Paraeducator at Prairie Winds Middle School from 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week to 6.5 hours per day/3 days per week (M/W/F) and 4.66 hours per day/2 days per week (T/TH) beginning February 5, 2024. 

Jack Phares - Change in assignment from ACES Child Care Assistant at Roosevelt Elementary School to ACES Site Lead at Washington Elementary School for 4-5 hours per day/5 days per week beginning February 12, 2024. He will be compensated at the rate of $16.75 per hour.

Brittany Amborn - Special Education Teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School has requested unpaid leave for the 2024-25 school year.

Brittany Boyum - Teacher currently on Board-approved leave has requested unpaid leave for the 2024-25 school year.

Patrick Burmeister - Teacher currently on Board-approved leave has requested unpaid leave for the 2024-25 school year.

Jessica Kingston - 1st Grade Teacher at Rosa Parks Elementary School, has requested unpaid leave for the 2024-25 school year.

Kayla Lewis - Adjust start date to February 6, 2024, for Board-approved leave.

Mary McCuskey Simpson - Teacher currently on Board-approved leave has requested unpaid leave for the 2024-25 school year.

Christine Seeman - Adjust return date to March 11, 2024, for Board-approved leave.

Stacie Smith - 4th Grade Teacher at Washington Elementary School has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning February 26 and returning to work on April 1, 2024. 

Renee Unger - Teacher currently on Board-approved leave has requested unpaid leave for the 2024-25 school year.

Caleb Watson - Teacher currently on leave has requested to continue his Board-approved leave beginning with the 2023-24 school year.

Christina Woodside - Teacher currently on Board-approved leave has requested unpaid leave for the 2024-25 school year.

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Storie Hoody - Special Education Paraeducator at Roosevelt Elementary School has requested unpaid leave beginning February 6, 2024, and continuing through the end of the 2023-24 school year. She is eligible to use any applicable fringe benefits available.

Niseren Mustafa - Cook Helper at West High School has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning February 19 and returning to work on March 4, 2024, and then continuing intermittent leave through the end of the 2023-24 school year.

RESIGNATIONS (NON-AFFILIATED)
Ronald Fleischmann - Adult Career Pathway Program Specialist with the Adult Basic Education Program, has submitted a resignation for the purpose of retirement. The last day of employment will be June 30, 2024.

Griffin Asher - ACES Child Care Assistant Substitute, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be February 8, 2024. 

Ava Boswell - ACES Child Care Assistant at Rosa Parks Elementary School, has submitted a resignation. The last day for this assignment will be February 14, 2024. She will continue as ACES Early Learning Aide at MAPS Center for Learning. 

Jose Gomez - Multi-Language Learner (MLL) Paraeducator at West High School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be February 29, 2024. 

Alexis Madison - ACES Child Care Assistant at Eagle Lake Elementary School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be February 22, 2024. 

Kate Martig - Student Success Coach at Kennedy Elementary School, has submitted a resignation in order to accept the Long-term Substitute position. The last day for this assignment will be February 16, 2024. 

Garrett O'Connor - 8-hour Evening Custodian at Monroe Elementary School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be February 8, 2024. 

Peter Sorensen - Adjust end date to June 6, 2024, as Health & Wellness Paraeducator at Dakota Meadows Middle School. 

Brenda Voracek - Special Education Paraeducator at Rosa Parks Elementary School and ESY Paraeducator, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be July 26, 2024. 

Alvin Young - 4-hour Evening Custodian at Bridges Community School, has submitted a resignation for the purpose of retirement. His last day of employment will be February 12, 2024.
 

Recommended Action:

The Administration recommends the approval of the personnel items.
