The District relies upon the Ice Arena for providing services and programs to its students and the community, and finds it economically advantageous to rent or lease the Ice Arena for its hockey teams and community education programs and other instructional purposes.  This agreement will be a 15 year lease term with the City of Mankato. 

The District will pay for the use of ice time and locker rooms at a rate of $240 per hour.  

In addition to rent charged for usage based on hours used, the District agrees to pay annual rent for the Districts share of improvement costs in the amount of $100,000 per year through its existing lease levy authority starting July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2040.

The administrative team recommends the School Board take action to approve the lease agreement with the City of Mankato for the purpose of updating All Seasons Arena.
