Approval of Strategic Roadmap
Background:
For over a year, Mankato Area Public Schools has been involved in a process to revise the school district’s strategic roadmap. The vision, mission, core values and strategic priorities included in the roadmap provides students, staff, families and the greater community a clear sense of the school district’s identity and aspirations.
Feedback was gathered from students, staff, and families through interviews, focus groups, surveys and work sessions. The District Leadership Team, in collaboration with the School Board, collected and analyzed the desired daily experiences articulated by stakeholders in the school community.
When approved by the School Board, the MAPS Strategic Roadmap will be the guide from which operational plans and vision card metrics will be developed by district leaders. The School Board can anticipate reports from school and district leaders that directly align to the strategic priorities outlined in the roadmap.

Recommended Action:
