Background:

APPOINTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Lisa Vasquez - Long-term Substitute Teacher for Danielle Edstrom at Roosevelt Elementary School beginning December 2, 2024, and ending February 7, 2025. She will be placed at step 1 of the PhD lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.

APPOINTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Siham Abdulla Ali - ABE Teaching Assistant with the Adult Basic Education Program at Lincoln Community Center for 2.25 hours per day/3 evenings per week (T-TH) beginning November 19, 2024. Training date November 12, 2024. She will be compensated at the rate of $17.00 per hour for this assignment. This is in addition to her Child Care Aide assignment at Lincoln Logs Learning Center.

Noura Kurdi - ACES Child Care Assistant at Monroe Elementary School for 3-4 hours per day/2 days per week beginning November 15, 2024. She will be compensated at the rate of $13.50 per hour.

Ei Min - ACES Child Care Assistance Roosevelt Elementary School for 3-4 hours per day/4 days per week beginning November 18, 2024. She will be compensated at the rate of $13.00 per hour. 

Jeonghwa Mun - ABE Teaching Assistant with the Adult Basic Education Program at Lincoln Community Center for 4 hours per day/4 days per week (M-TH) beginning November 5, 2024. She will be compensated at the rate of $17.00 per hour. 

Sharon Soliz-Arndt - Interpreter for the District on an on-call basis beginning November 14, 2024. She will be compensated at the rate of $25.00 per hour for this assignment. This is in addition to her Student Success Coach assignment at Rosa Parks Elementary School. 

Macy True - ACES Child Care Assistant at Washington Elementary School for 1.5 hours per day/4 days per week beginning November 18, 2024. She will be compensated at the rate of $13.00 per hour.

Leslie Twesten - 8-hour, 12-month Evening Custodian at Kennedy Elementary School beginning November 15, 2024. He will be placed at classification A13, step 3, in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employee Association.

CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL) 
Abdifatah Aden - Increase in assignment as Student Success Coach at Prairie Winds Middle School from 4.5 hours per day/2 days per week (T/W) and 6.5 hours per day/1 day per week (TH) to 4 hours per day/3 days per week (M-W) and 6 hours per day/1 day per week (TH) beginning November 15, 2024. 

Olivia Hamond - Change in assignment from ACES Child Care Assistant at Washington Elementary School to ACES Child Care Assistant Substitute on an on-call basis beginning November 25, 2024. This is in addition to her ACES Early Learning Aide assignment at MAPS Center for Learning.

Owen Krause - Change in assignment from ACES Child Care Associate at Eagle Lake Elementary School to ACES Child Care Associate Substitute beginning January 1, 2025.
He will be compensated at the rate of $11.13 per hour.


Hussein Mohamoud - Increase in assignment as Student Success Coach at Prairie Winds Middle School from 7 hours per day/4 days per week (M-TH) to 7 hours per day/5 days per week beginning November 15, 2024. 
 
Cade Schiller - Increase hourly rate to $17.00 as Building Supervisor with Community Education beginning November 1, 2024. 

Bridget Tester - Decrease in assignment from 8-hour, 12-month Evening Custodian at Prairie Winds Middle School to 4-hour, 9-month Evening Custodian at Bridges Community School beginning November 11, 2024. 

Teagan Tester - Decrease in assignment from 8-hour, 12-month Evening Custodian at Prairie Winds Middle School to 4-hour, 9-month Evening Custodian at Franklin Elementary School beginning November 11, 2024. 

Darshawn Walker - Decrease in assignment from 8-hour, 12-month Evening Custodian to 4-hour, 9-month Evening Custodian at Kennedy Elementary School beginning November 15, 2024. 

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Kelsey McConkey - Kindergarten Teacher at Kennedy Elementary School, has requested leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning March 17, and returning to work on June 6, 2025. 

Joyce Petersen - Intervention Teacher at Rosa Parks Elementary, has requested intermittent leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act beginning November 8, 2024, and ending May 2, 2025. 

REQUESTS FOR LEAVE (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Simon Gatluak - Evening Custodian at Jefferson Elementary School, has requested unpaid leave beginning November 14, 2024, and returning to work on December 2, 2024. He is eligible to use any applicable fringe benefits available.

Janet Jagerson - Extend Board-approved leave, returning to work on December 2, 2024. 

RESIGNATIONS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Natalie Eckstein - Early Learning Teacher at MAPS Center for Learning has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be May 31, 2024. 

RESIGNATIONS (NON-INSTRUCTIONAL)
Kimberly Brown - Second Cook at Franklin Elementary School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be November 29, 2024. 

Maryan Hersi - Early Learning Special Education Paraeducator (Intervention) at MAPS Center for Learning, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be November 25, 2024. 

Hussein Mohamoud - Student Success Coach at Prairie Winds Middle School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be November 26, 2024. 

Alicia Musa - Non-classroom Paraeducator (Lunchroom) at Franklin Elementary School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be November 14, 2024. 

Jackson Ungar - ACES Child Care Assistant at Washington Elementary School, has submitted a resignation. The last day of employment will be November 26, 2024.
 

Recommended Action:

The Administration recommends the approval of the personnel items.
