Over the past two years, Mankato Area Public Schools (MAPS) has been an active participant in Transforming Tomorrow Together – Greater Mankato 2040, a regional planning and visioning initiative led by Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. This forward-looking effort aims to collaboratively shape a shared vision for the Greater Mankato region, encompassing a 60–70-mile radius around Mankato. The initiative focuses on strategic foresight and positioning to ensure the region thrives as social, technological, and economic changes occur through 2040.

The planning process has been data-driven, engaging over 1,000 community members through surveys, focus groups, and workshops to identify key priorities and develop actionable strategies. The resulting framework outlines strategic pillars and an implementation roadmap through 2030, serving as a guide for regional development.

Greater Mankato Growth is now inviting organizations to formally "sign on" to the initiative. By doing so, MAPS would be recognized as a regional partner, with our logo and name featured on the Transforming Tomorrow Together website. Given our substantial involvement in the planning process and alignment with the initiative's goals, this partnership reinforces our commitment to regional collaboration and educational excellence.?
