Approval of 2026 IAQ/HVAC Project at Kennedy Elementary School
Background:
On November 4th at 2:00pm and Combined Mechanical work scope re-bid on November 25th, 2025 at 2:00pm, ninety (90) bids were received for the Mankato Area Public Schools 2026 IAQ/HVAC Project at Kennedy Elementary School.
Recommended Action:
The administrative team and Kraus Anderson, our Construction Manager, recommend that the bids as submitted by multiple contractors in the amount of $8,594,719.00 for the base bid, along with Alternate #1 (skylight replacement) for $171,480.00 for a total of $8,766,199.00, be accepted by the School Board. IAQ LTFM and Bond revenue will be used to fund this project, and this project will be part of the FY26/FY27 budget. A summary of the bids received is attached.
