Radon testing is performed every five years on a rotating schedule for all district buildings, as mandated by MN Statute 123B.571.  The district utilizes LTFM revenue for this testing, and is required to report test results at a school board meeting. All tested areas showed radon levels within safe thresholds, with the exception of nine spaces as determined by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Additional testing was conducted on these spaces and results came back with radon levels well below allowable limits in four out of the nine spaces. A Radon Mitigation System will be installed in the other spaces. A more detailed report is attached.
