Approval of 2026 Site Hard Surface Improvements
Background:
On March 24th at 2:00pm, two (2) bids were received for the Mankato Area Public Schools
2026 Site Hard Surface Improvements Projects.
Recommended Action:
The low bidder is W.W. Blacktopping, Inc., from Mankato, Minnesota. The low bid is
approximately 5% below the Engineers Estimate. Based on past performance on similar
projects in previous years, it is our opinion that W.W. Blacktopping, Inc., is qualified to
perform the work required under this contract. We hereby recommend that W.W.
Blacktopping, Inc. be awarded the project for a contract amount of $326,905.65. This will
be funded through ‘27 LTFM Funds.
