2016-17 Compensatory Revenue
Background:
Attached is the 2016-17 Compensatory Revenue Allocation provided by the Minnesota Department of Education. Also, attached is the Minnesota Statute to define appropriate uses of the revenue. Compensatory Revenue will be used to provide continued support for parental involvement activities, structured study centers, EL staff, guidance counseling staff, Assurance of Mastery staff, social workers and secondary attendance services at our school sites. Sites that generate Compensatory Revenue that exceeds the expenditures for those programs will be instructed to submit a plan for the additional funds to the Superintendent for approval. The allocation of the discretionary funds are attached and shown below.

Recommended Action:
The administration recommends that the School Board take action to approve the 2016-2017 Compensatory Revenue budget allocations.
