Act on 2015-16 Employee Health Insurance Rates
Background:
On March 9, 2015, four bids were received for Employee Group Health Insurance. In accordance with the Health Insurance Transparency Act (HITA), the bids were opened with two members of the largest bargaining group. The results of the bids were made public on March 12, 2015. On March 31, 2015, the employee insurance committee met and reviewed the bids. The South Central Service Cooperative Pool bid projected a 0% increase for 2015-16.
Recommended Action:
The administration and the employee insurance committee recommend acceptance of the South Central Service Coop Pool bid for the 2015-2016 health insurance programs with the following rates:
