Acceptance of Gifts and Grants
Background:
Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest donated $55 to the District DECA programs.
The Grammy Foundation of Santa Monica, California donated $2,000 to the East High band, choir and orchestra through the Grammy Signature Schools Community Award for music excellence.
Cubs Foods West donated $2,000 to West High School and Cubs Foods East donated $2,000 to East High School.
Basil and Linda Janavaras donated $2,000 for the John Janavaras Scholarships.
The Mankato Clinic Foundation donated 123 copies of the book “The Rechargeables” valued at $2,207. The books will be placed in each kindergarten through third grade classroom in the District.
The Mankato Basketball Association donated $2,000 to the East High Basketball programs.
Bamco, Inc. (Mankato McDonald’s) donated $100 to the East High Football program.
West High School received $343.63 through the Target Take Charge of Education program.
Walmart donated $250 to Roosevelt Elementary School to recognize the volunteer services of their employee and Roosevelt parent Corey Heller.
The following donations were received for the East High senior lunch, which was served on graduation day after rehearsal:
Douglas and Patricia Snapp - $100
Mark and Pam Weingartz - $50
Stacey Schulz-Pope - $50
