Acceptance of Gifts and Grants

Background:

An anonymous donor provided $1,000 for books for to be given to children after they complete their Early Childhood Screening.
 
Dental Dental of Minnesota donated 1500 copies of the book “Tooth Time” valued at $930 to be given to families at Early Childhood Screening and those receiving services through Early Intervention.
 
Roxan and Jeff Lang donated $60 to the West High Orchestra.
 
The West High Orchesis Program received the following donations:
          Southern Minnesota Orthodontics - $100
          Marlin and Judith Lloyd - $50
          Kaye Corporation - $500
          Frentz and Frentz - $100
          Consolidated Communications - $500
          Daniel and Angela Bastian - $250
 
Pack the Stands received the following donations:
          Valley News Company - $100
          Southern Minnesota Orthodontics - $100
          Schwickert’s Tecta America of Mankato - $100
          Overhead Door Company of Mankato - $100
          Knutson Casey - $500
          Phil Janzen - $50
          I & S Group - $500
          Community Bank - $100
          Commerce Drive Dental Group - $100
          BLK Electric Inc. - $500
          Andring, Collins, Norman and Company - $100
          Austin’s Auto Repair Center - $100
 
Prairie Ecology Bus Center provided a $4,000 grant for the first graders at Kennedy Elementary School.
 
Mayo Health Systems donated $5,000 to our elementary schools for the ALPS program.
 
The Kato Ballroom donated the use of their facility, valued at $925, for the West High Hall of Fame Banquet.
 
I & S Group donated $350 to the ACES Program to winterize their gardens.
 
The Forrest G. James Marine Corps Auxiliary donated school supplies valued at $50 to Washington Elementary School.
 
Matthew Wolff donated $1,000 to the Wolff Scholarship Fund at West High.

Recommended Action:

The administration recommends Board acceptance of these generous gift and grants.
