2018-19 School Year Property Tax Levy Hearing
Background:
Included with your Board materials this evening is the 2018-2019 school year Mankato Area Public Schools tax levy recommendation. The counties have mailed a notice of proposed property taxes to all property owners. Under state law, the District must conduct a public meeting to receive citizen input regarding the levy proposal. As part of the public meeting, the District is required to review its proposed 2018-2019 tax levy and its current budget for school year 2017-2018. The School Board is scheduled to take final action in regard to the 2018-2019 tax levy at the School Board meeting on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 5:30 P.M. at the Intergovernmental Center.
Recommended Action:
The Board Chair will open the public hearing for anyone who wishes to speak.
