2017-18 School Board Evaluation
Background:
On February 22, 2018, the School Board met in an open session to discuss the results of the School Board Evaluation. The evaluation document was designed to align with our District Strategic Roadmap. The School Board is in the second year of using this particular document but an evaluation has always been done a yearly basis.
The role of the school board is to govern the district, and each school board member is responsible to the community to govern efficiently and effectively. The evaluation reviewed Policy Governance, Operational Oversight, Board Governance, Superintendent Relations, and Public Engagement. It was the work of the session to determine key themes and key messages.
