2017-18 Superintendent Evaluation
Background:
The Board of the Mankato Area Public Schools evaluated Superintendent Sheri Allen during a closed study session held on March 12, 2018. The evaluation document was designed to align with our District Strategic Roadmap. Members held a closed session discussion to review the document and provide feedback.
Based on the review and discussion, the following areas of strength were identified:
Superintendent Allen, in this Board’s view, is a highly functioning education leader. She has developed a working relationship with our District staff, higher education institutions and community. The District Strategic Roadmap guides her work to raise achievement for all.
Based on the review and discussion, the following areas of strength were identified:
- Resource Management
- Instructional Leadership
- Leadership Development
- Employee, Parent and Community Engagement
- Board Relations
- Leadership in the Public Arena
- Utilize our Strategic Roadmap to improve VisionCard performance
- Continue to diversify staff in all employee groups
- Utilize multiple platforms of communication to engage and inform our school community
