APPOINTMENTS (NON-AFFILIATED)
Gwen Walz - Assessment Coach beginning September 1 and ending November 30, 2018 for up to 10 hours per week.  She will be compensated at her hourly rate of pay.
 
APPOINTMENTS (INSTRUCTIONAL)
Tascha Just - Full-time, 1.00 FTES School Psychologist-Behavior Analyst at Futures beginning October 8, 2018 for the 2018-19 school year.  She will be placed at step 10 of the Specialist lane of the Teachers Association salary schedule contingent upon obtaining licensure.
 
Renea Ratzloff - Long Term Substitute Kindergarten Teacher for Amanda Shaw at Bridges Community School beginning November 26 and ending February 1, 2019.  She will be placed at step 8 of the M lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.
 
Susan Wolfe - Long Term Substitute Grade 3 Teacher for Patsy King at Roosevelt Elementary School beginning December 14 and ending March 21, 2019.  She will be placed at step 10 of the B lane on the Teachers Association salary schedule.
 
APPOINTMENTS (NONINSTRUCTIONAL)
Daryl Arzdorf - On-Call Food Service Substitute beginning September 24, 2018.  He will be compensated at the rate of $11.52 per hour (step 1).
 
Tiffiany Cazares - NonClassroom (Playground) Paraprofessional at Hoover Elementary School for 2.25 hours per day/5 days per week beginning September 25, 2018.  She will be compensated at the rate of $12.36 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Maggie Engnes - ACES Child Care Assistant at Rosa Parks Elementary School for 4 hours per day/3 days per week beginning September 18 and ending June 5, 2019.  She will be compensated at the rate of $9.90 per hour.
 
Ross Ewert - 4-Hour Evening Custodian at Monroe Elementary School beginning September 17, 2018.  He will be placed at step 3, classification A13 of the Maintenance and Custodial Workers Association salary schedule with an hourly rate of $15.93.
 
Ben Kiecker - Special Education Paraprofessional at West High School for 6.75 hours per day/5 days per week beginning September 26, 2018.  He will be compensated at the rate of $12.36 per hour in accordance with the agreement  between the DIstrict and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Heather Kisor - Special Education Paraprofessional at Rosa Parks/Franklin Elementary Schools for 7 hours per day/4 days per week (M-Th) beginning October 2, 2018.  She will be compensated at the rate of $12.36 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Mary Krueger - Transfer from Clerical Assistant/POS Operator to Secretary to the Principal at Monroe Elementary School beginning September 24, 2018.  This is a full-time, 10-month position with a work year of 204 days plus 9 paid holidays.  She will be placed at classification B22, current step of the Educational Secretaries Association salary schedule.
 
Taylor Lawson - Supervision and Security at West High School for 7 hours per day/5 days per week beginning September 24, 2018.  She will be compensated at the rate of $12.36 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
Pamela Wussow-Anderson - NonClassroom (Lunchroom) Paraprofessional for 2.5 hours per day/5 days per week at Dakota Meadows Middle School beginning September 24, 2018.  She will be compensated at the rate of $12.36 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the District and the Minnesota School Employees Association.
 
CONTRACT ADJUSTMENTS (NONINSTRUCTIONAL)
Julie Gustafson - Increase in Special Education Paraprofessional assignment from 2 days per week to 6.75 hours per day/3 days per week (T,Th,F) beginning September 4, 2018.
 
Mahamed Hassan - Decrease in Special Education Paraprofessional assignment from 6.75 hours per day to 6.5 hours per day/3 days per week (M,T,W) and 4.25 hours per day/2 days per week (Th,F) for a total of 28 hours per week beginning September 6, 2018.
 
Amran Sabrie - Revise start date to October 1, 2018.
 
Heather Tentis - Increase in Clerical Assistant/POS Operator assignment with the addition of .5 hours per day/5 days per week clerical.  Her assignment will now be (5 hours per day Clerical Assistant/1.5 hours per day as POS Operator) beginning September 25, 2018.
 
SALARY LANE ADVANCEMENTS
In accordance with the terms of the agreement between the Mankato Teachers Association and the District, teachers have submitted their requests for salary lane advancement.  Each of these requests has been reviewed and a list of those qualifying for salary lane advancement for the 2018-19 school year is shown below.  The salary lane advancements will be retroactive to the beginning of the 2018-19 school year.  The Administration recommends that the Board approve the salary lane advancements.

Eric Davis, Math Teacher at East High School, has requested a leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act commencing on December 13 and returning to work March 4, 2019.
 
Karen Moret, Special Education Teacher at Washington Elementary School, has requested a leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act commencing on or about April 8 and returning to work May 6, 2019.
 
Peggy Morris, Intervention Teacher at Bridges Community School, has requested a leave under the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act commencing on October 15 and returning to work November 26, 2018.

Hannah Pedersen - Supervision and Security at West High School.  Her last date of employment was September 18, 2018.
 
Collene Rezac - Braillist.  Her last date of employment in this assignment was September 25, 2018.  She will continue in her new assignment as Secretary - Assessment/Professional Development.
 
Rebecca Trnka - Special Education Paraprofessional at Rosa Parks Elementary School.  Her last date of employment will be October 3, 2018.
