Subject:	Resolution No. 21-R-127 - Consideration and/or action approving a Resolution by the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the November 2, 2021, General Election; and other matters in connection therewith. (Mayor/B. Dennis)

BACKGROUND

On July 13, 2021 the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas passed a Resolution calling a General Election on November 2, 2021 for the purpose of electing Councilmembers for Place 6 and Place 7 for a three-year term.

The City of Schertz held a General Election on November 2, 2021 for the purpose of electing City Councilmembers in Places 6 & 7. The results are as follows:

Jeannine A. Graham	901

Place 7
Tim Brown	1927
Judith Williams	1267

The total of votes cast during early voting was 3694 by personal appearance and absentee, and 2712 votes were cast on Election Day. The total number of votes cast in this election was 6406

Allison Heyward is hereby declared re-elected to the Office of Councilmember Place 6.

Tim Brown is hereby declared re-elected to the Office of Councilmember Place 7.

GOAL

To provide the results of the November 2, 2021, General Election.

COMMUNITY BENEFIT

To provide the residents an opportunity to elect their chosen Councilmembers.

SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDED ACTION

Approve Resolution No. 21-R-127 canvassing the results and declaring the winners.
