BACKGROUND
The Schertz Historical Preservation Committee (SHPC) received an application for Landmark Property designation for 93 Bubbling Springs Road, the site of the Schertz-Cibolo Cemetery. At their October 23, 2024, meeting, the SHPC voted in favor of bestowing the Landmark Property designation on 93 Bubbling Springs Road. The Landmark Property designation does not trigger any State or City regulations or restrictions.
GOAL
To recognize the places that are meaningful to the history of the community.
COMMUNITY BENEFIT
Foster a sense of pride and promote awareness of the community's history.
SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDED ACTION
The Schertz Historical Preservation Committee recommends the Schertz-Cibolo Cemetery at 93 Bubbling Springs Road as a Landmark Property.
RECOMMENDATION
Designate 93 Bubbling Springs Road as a Landmark Property.
