| Subject: | Resolution 24-R-113 - Presentation and Adoption of the City of Schertz Strategic Plan (S.Williams) |
BACKGROUND
Facilitated by Ron Cox Consulting, City Council and Staff met on February 2 for a strategic planning retreat to discuss strategic planning issues, including but not limited to effective leadership, meaningful communication, understanding roles and fulfilling expectations and proactive vision and planning.
Council also reviewed the City’s mission, vision and values from the current Strategic Plan at the retreat. Originally adopted March 8, 2016, and last updated February 13, 2018, this document aims to provide overall direction in achieving the City’s desired future state by outlining the City’s aspirations, actions, and motives while seeking to create alignment within the organization.
Based on discussion from the retreat, the strategic plan has been updated to reflect revised goals and objectives, and staff recommends approval of Resolution 24-R-113 and the revised strategic plan document.
