| Subject: | Resolution 24-R-118 - Authorizing an amendment to the Wastewater CCN Transfer Agreement between the City of Schertz and Green Valley Special Utility District. (S.Williams/B.James) |
BACKGROUND
As part of the settlement agreement with Green Valley Special Utility District, the City and Green Valley agreed to petition for the transfer of a number of properties to the other entities sewer CCN. An amendment is needed to the transfer agreement to adjust the reference to a few properties being transferred. As such, Council needs to approve this first amendment to approve that correction.
GOAL
To provide water and sewer service to new developing areas inside the city limits of Schertz.
COMMUNITY BENEFIT
To ensure the future water and sewer customers in this portion of the City with planned development have the same water and wastewater provider to better serve the citizens of the City.
SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDED ACTION
Staff recommends that Council approve this resolution authorizing this first amendment to the CCN Transfer Agreement, the original agreement having been approved as part of the settlement agreement.
