The purpose of Schertz Young Leaders is to give high school students the opportunity to learn about their community on a higher level. Participants will be introduced to the multiple facets that make up Schertz: Local Government, Education, Community Businesses & Partners, and the Randolph Air Force Base. The goal of participating in this program is to increase students’ community awareness and prepare them to make positive impacts in the future.

The program seeks to foster the development of knowledgeable citizens and future leaders of Schertz through in-depth programs that introduce students to the wide variety of opportunities, challenges, and resources available in the City and allow them to interact with community leaders and decision makers.
