Public Affairs came home from the 2026 City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) Conference with one Award of Excellence, equivalent to third place, and one Savvy Award, equivalent to first place.

This was a major accomplishment for the City of Schertz, marking the first time in our history that the Public Affairs Department was recognized at the national 3CMA Savvy Awards. With more than 1,200 submissions from communities across the country, we are incredibly proud to have our work recognized among some of the best in the nation. This recognition included our creative video series, Now You Know Schertz, as well as the Let’s Talk Trash campaign developed to help residents navigate the solid waste transition in the summer of 2025. Our team works hard to communicate with residents in ways that are clear, engaging and creative, especially when navigating complex topics and community changes. We are honored to see that work recognized on a national level and proud to bring these awards home to Schertz for the very first time.
