ITEM:
Discussion and possible directions to staff on any and all matters regarding modifications to the current Parks and Recreation Fee Schedule. (Lizandro Galaviz, Director of Parks and Recreation)
SUMMARY:
After reviewing the current Parks and Recreation Fee Schedule on Resolution No. 770, the Parks and Recreation Department staff would like to propose some fee modifications as well as adding more areas for the public to reserve. With many modifications being made to beautify our parks and surrounding areas, we would like to include in the fee schedule the tennis courts, artificial turf fields as well as increase the current reservation fees for the Cesar Chavez Cultural Center, Gym, Youth Center, sports fields and event booth rental. With the facilities being in high demand from both non-profit organizations as well as our community, fees have to be modified to cover maintenance and upgrade expenses.
