Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the proposed agreement with Portable Practical Education Preparation, Inc. (PPEP) for Fiscal Year 2019-2020. (Tadeo A. De La Hoya, City Manager and Francia Alonso, Assistant to Council/PIO)
SUMMARY:
Service: The Youth Build Program of Portable Practical Education Preparation, Inc. (PPEP) provides low-income youth, ages 17-24, education to obtain their GED, learn job skills, and leadership development. Students in the program serve their communities by building affordable housing and providing community services. Under this contract, the money will be used toward the cost to educate students who are residents of San Luis, Arizona.
Amount: The city has entered into an agreement with PPEP in the past. The city has already budgeted funds for $30,000.00 for the Youth Build Program until the end of the Fiscal Year 2019-2020.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE THE CONTRACT WITH PORTABLE PRACTICAL EDUCATION PREPARATION, INC (PPEP) IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000.00 AS PRESENTED.
