ITEM:

Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the employment contract for the Magistrate.  (Tadeo A. De La Hoya, City Manager)

SUMMARY:

As required by Arizona law, judicial contracts may be longer than two (2) years.  The current contract term ended on August 27, 2020, but continues until action is taken on it. The Magistrate is a position created by city ordinance which states:

San Luis City Code §34.20 - "The presiding officer of the Magistrate's court shall be the City Magistrate, who shall be appointed by and shall serve at the pleasure of the Council."
