ITEM:
Discussion and possible directions to staff on any and all matters regarding off-site signs on Archibald Street. (Jose A. Guzman, Director of Planning and Zoning)
SUMMARY:
The current City Code prohibits the installation of off-site signs on Main Street south of County 22nd Street, however, it allows off-site signs on commercial properties located in a Major Arterial Road. This ordinance was adopted when the traffic going to Mexico was still on Main Street. The traffic now travels south on Archibald Street, therefore is now considered a Major Arterial Road.
