ITEM:
Public hearing followed by discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2169. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis authorizing the submission of an application for FY 2021 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Regional Account funds and FY 2021 State Special Projects (CDBG SSP) funds, certifying that said applications meet the community's previously identified housing and community development needs and the requirements of the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) Community Development Block Grant Program, and authorizing all actions necessary to implement and complete the activities outlined in said applications. SUMMARY:
The Arizona Department of Housing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program requires that a public hearing be held at a regular meeting of the local governing body to allow citizens to comment on the proposed projects to be funded CDBG funds, and adopt resolutions selecting the project(s) for application(s) advancing for CDBG funding.
Staff is recommending Mesa Street Improvements Project for CDBG Regional Account funding, and Rancho Los Oros Improvements Phase 2 for Community Development Block Grant State Special Projects funding. Both projects ranked as having the highest potential for advancement to the Arizona Department of Housing. One other project was submitted Rancho Los Oros Improvements Project Phase 3.
The City of San Luis is eligible to submit one (1) Regional Account application and one (1) State Special Project for FY 2021 CDBG funding.
