ITEM:

Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2170. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, County of Yuma, committing local funds as leverage for FY 2021 Community Development Block Grant applications. (Mary French-Jones, Grant Writer and Jenny Torres, Economic Development Manager)

SUMMARY:

The FY 2021 Community Development Block Grant Regional Account (CDBG-RA) Arizona Department of Housing allocation is $540,171.00 for the City of San Luis. A local leverage commitment of $486,317.00 by the City of San Luis will assist in completing the Mesa Street Improvements Project.

The FY 2021 Community Development Block Grant State Special Project (CDBG-SSP) maximum award amount is $500,000.00 for an application. Contingent on award a local leverage commitment of $223,000.00.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:

I MOVE TO APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 2170, COMMITTING CITY FUNDS FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATIONS AS PRESENTED.
