Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Ordinance No. 418. An ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, amending the San Luis City Code; Section 5.15.090 of the City Code which provides for a system of issuance and regulation for border area taxi vehicle permits amending subsection 5.15.090(F) limiting the number of permits to any single business; providing an effective date; repealing any conflicting provisions; and providing for severability. SUMMARY:
An adequate number of Border Area Permits for a company is five (5) permits per company, allowing more companies to have a Border Area Permit. This ordinance will be amending section 5.15.90(F) by reducing the number of Border Area Taxi Permits from no more than ten (10) permits to no more than five (5) permits issued to any single taxicab business. The Ordinance will take effect for the renewal period in January 2022.

There is no fiscal impact associated with this item. The permits continue to be limited to 35, there will be no change in revenue from the permit fees.
