Resolution

ITEM:

Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2217. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, approving a one-time contribution under the Intergovernmental Agreement with Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority for the Yuma County Area Transit ("YCAT"), the regional public transportation services for the fiscal year 2022-2023: repealing conflicting provisions; and providing for severability. (Lizandro Galaviz, Acting City Manager)

SUMMARY:

On April 25, 2022, the Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority ("YCIPTA") Board of Directors approved a one-time contribution to pay the amount owed to the Yuma County Treasurer's Outstanding Registered Warrants for Treasurer Account 08808. At the same meeting, the Board approved the San Luis portion of the contribution to be $158,912.66.

The San Luis City Council directed staff to budget an amount not to exceed $158,920.00.00. It is prudent to approve this one-time contribution by resolution since the city's Intergovernmental Agreement with YCIPTA requires a resolution for annual contributions

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:

I MOVE TO APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 2217 FOR THE ONE-TIME CONTRIBUTION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $158,920 TO THE YUMA COUNTY INTERGOVERNMENTAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY.
