Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the proposed contract with the Children's Museum of Yuma County, Inc. for Fiscal Year 2022-2023. (Lizandro Galaviz, Acting City Manager)
SUMMARY:
Service: The Children's Museum provides hands-on learning experiences for children. It was founded in 2013 and has been mobile, providing outreach to Yuma County communities, including San Luis. The museum will have a permanent location in the City of Yuma on Main Street in the old town, programmed to open in 2022. Under the proposed contract the museum will provide four (4) outreach days in the City of San Luis and 700 Family Admission Passes for up to five (5) people in a family, free for San Luis residents. They will also extend an admission discount to the city's employees
Amount: This is the first year the Children's Museum has requested funds from the city. The City Council directed staff to budget $10,000.00 for the Children's Museum for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE THE CONTRACT WITH THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF YUMA COUNTY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000.00.
