Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the dues to Yuma Metropolitan Planning Organization (YMPO) for the fiscal year 2022-2023. (Lizandro Galaviz, Acting City Manager)
SUMMARY:
Service: Yuma Metropolitan Planning Organization (YMPO) provides regional transportation planning services through the cooperative efforts of the YMPO members. The members are the cities of San Luis, Somerton, Yuma, the Town of Wellton, the County of Yuma, and the Cocopah Indian Tribe. Federal funding for the development of transportation infrastructure in our region is channeled through YMPO. Services include the work of the Unified Planning Work Program and the Rural Transportation Liaison.
YMPO's attached Agenda Packet and Minutes from May 31, 2018, show the calculation for the city's contribution.
The exact amount cannot be calculated until December, but $13,564.09 is the current estimate for budgeting purposes according to YMPO's attached March 31st letter. City Council directed staff to budget for YMPO's estimated dues.
Amount: The City of San Luis has paid dues to YMPO in the past. The City Council has directed staff to use the estimated budget in the amount of $13,564.09 to include in the budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023.
