Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Ordinance No. 432. An ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, amending Section 2.05.400 of the City Code to change the start time of regular Council Meetings to 6:00 p.m.(Ralph Velez, Interim City Manager)

SUMMARY:
This item was requested by Mayor Nieves Riedel. The ordinance changes the start time of the City Council's regular meetings from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It leaves in place that the meetings are on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
The current city code says that if the regular meeting falls on a holiday, there will be a meeting the next day that is not a holiday. Ordinance 432 gives more flexibility for setting the meeting by allowing the Mayor (or the Vice Mayor in the Mayor's absence) to schedule the date.
Ordinances take effect 30 days after the passage which from December 7, 2022, would take effect in time for the regular meeting on January 11, 2023.
