Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2261. A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, Yuma County, committing local funds as leverage for FY 2023 Community Development Block Grant Regional Account (CDBG -RA) and FY 2022 Community Development Block Grant State Special Project (CDBG-SSP) applications. SUMMARY:
The Arizona Department of Housing FY 2023 Community Development Block Grant Regional Account (CDBG-RA) estimated allocation is $496,929.00 for the City of San Luis. In order to complete the scope of work in the engineer cost estimate for Merrill Avenue Street Improvements Phase I, the City would need to provide a local leverage commitment of $614,496.00 to complete the project.
The Arizona Department of Housing FY 2022 Community Development Block Grant State Special Project Account (CDBG-SSP) notice of funding availability provides an opportunity to request a maximum amount of $500,000.00 for an eligible project. In order to complete the scope of work in the engineer cost estimate for Merrill Avenue Street Improvements Phase II, the City application would need to provide a local leverage commitment of $602,254.00.
Staff reviewed the funding commitments and both commitments were included for consideration for the FY-2023-2024 City budget.

I MOVE TO APPROVE AND ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2261, COMMITTING CITY FUNDS FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATIONS AS PRESENTED.
