Discussion and possible action regarding any and all matters concerning Order No. 2023-07. An Order of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, to appoint an Acting City Manager. (Kay Marion Macuil, City Attorney)
SUMMARY:
With the vacancy of the City Manager position, it is proposed that the Assistant City Manager Jenny Torres, assume the duties and have the title of Acting City Manager during the temporary vacancy of the City Manager position. Ms. Torres would continue in the classified service while performing the duties of City Manager and would return to the title of Assistant City Manager once the City Manager position is filled. The title is to take effect July 1, 2023. Any adjustment in pay would follow the City of San Luis Salary Administration policy.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE ORDER NO. 2023-07.

Adjustments under the personnel policies for acting positions are available in the salary budget for fiscal year 2023-2024. Due to the vacancy of the City Manager position there is budget available to cover any salary adjustments regarding this temporary appointment.
