ITEM:

Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding amendment No. 1 to James Davey and Associates, Inc. Contract for the Downtown Park and Parking Lot project.  (Jenny Torres, Acting City Manager)

SUMMARY:

On August 24, 2022, the San Luis City Council approved a contract to James Davey and Associates for the amount of $266,795.00. The project was included in the FY2022-2023 capital project budget. The design of the project was not completed and was rolled over to the FY 2023-2024 capital improvement budget in the amount of $85,400.00. A contract amendment is being presented to the council to finalize the design of the project and to extend the contract period of performance to June 30, 2024. 

James Davey and Associates is on the on-call list of engineers per Resolution No. 2161. 

Staff recommends approval of contract amendment No. 1. 

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:

I MOVE TO APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO JAMES DAVEY AND ASSOCIATES, INC. CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $84,473.00.

The original contract in the amount of $266,795 was approved by the City Council on August 24, 2022. The consultant did not complete the design and the project was rolled over to fiscal year 2023-2024 with a budgeted amount of $85,400.00.
