Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding authorization to purchase 13 portable handheld radios for the San Luis Police Department using Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Capital Improvement Budgeted Funds. (Alan Guevara, Lieutenant)
SUMMARY:
Purchase of Radios
The City of San Luis Police Department is seeking approval for the purchase of thirteen (13) new handheld portable radios. Our current radios can't be maintained or repaired once broken because they are now obsolete. We will be adding these radios to our current inventory for that reason. The funds for the purchase of these radios were approved as Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Capital Projects. The radios will be purchased from Motorola Solutions through Gila Electronics using State Contract #CTR046830. They have provided a bid of $98,195.22 including tax for the radios and all required equipment.
Total Purchase
The total purchase amount for the radios and the equipment will be $98,195.22.
San Luis City Code-Purchasing
The purchasing of the radios comes under the San Luis City Code-Purchasing, Section 3.05.090 Cooperative Purchasing, since it is using state contract #CTR046830 for the purchase of the radios.
