FISCAL IMPACT STATEMENT (IF THIS IS A BUDGET TRANSFER, YOU MUST ATTACH THE BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FORM):
The proposed amendment to City Code 2.30.050, Subsection (E) will result in a budget reallocation to the General Fund if approved by City Council. Per the account details provided by the Finance Department, all revenues collected since the June 30, 2025 enactment—specifically those from July 2025 through January 2026—would be moved from the Special Court Revenue Fund into Account 100-40508 (Defense Appointment Fee).
If the ordinance is approved, this change would also apply to all collections from February and March 2026. While the specific totals for these two months are currently unknown and yet to be collected, they will be routed to the designated General Fund account upon receipt. Please note that no routing or transfers are to occur at this time; this summary is provided solely to outline the potential budget impact of this consolidation.
