Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding acceptance of a proposal from Haydon Companies, LLC for sewer manhole rehabilitation services. (Eulogio Vera, Director of Public Works)
SUMMARY:
The Department of Public Works is requesting the Mayor and City Council to accept a proposal from Haydon Companies, LLC for the rehabilitation of sewer manholes at various locations throughout the City.
The proposed work will be performed utilizing a cooperative Job Order Contract (JOC) between Haydon Companies, LLC, and the City of Glendale. The use of this cooperative procurement method allows the City to expedite project delivery by leveraging pre-established unit pricing, competitively procured by the City of Glendale, while remaining compliant with applicable procurement requirements.
Haydon Companies, LLC has submitted a proposal in the amount of $58,575.32 for the rehabilitation of seven (7) sewer manholes located along Piceno Drive and San Luis Plaza Drive. The project consists of the rehabilitation and repair of existing sewer manholes, including structural restoration, lining, sealing, and associated improvements necessary to extend the service life of the assets and reduce inflow and infiltration.
Staff recommends acceptance of the proposal from Haydon Companies, LLC, and authorization for the City Manager to execute all necessary documents.
