ITEM:

Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding authorization to award a construction contract to LPC Construction, Inc. for the Juan Sanchez Boulevard Sewer Lift Station Project. (Eulogio Vera, Public Works Director)

SUMMARY:

The City of San Luis went out to formal bid pursuant to Title 34 of the Arizona Revised Statutes for the construction of a new sewer lift station and new sewer force main. Six (6) bids were submitted ranging from $2,083,849.23 to $2,969,806.35 with the lowest being from LPC Construction, Inc. Completion of this project will accomplish the diversion of sewer flows from the West Wastewater Treatment Plant to the East Wastewater Treatment Plant and releasing capacity at the West Wastewater Treatment Plant to allow more development in the San Luis valley. Staff is recommending the awarding of a contract to LPC Construction, Inc. to construct the Juan Sanchez Boulevard Sewer Lift Station per project plans and specifications in the amount of $2,083,849.23. Project will be funded by bond monies.
